LITTLE RED CLOUD 32" in diameter FEATHERED SUN Intermediate. This is a spectacular quilt, which looks harder than it really is, try it! Students work on a 30" circular wall hanging of rings of triangles using strip piecing and templates: not paper pieced! Template fee $8
DOUBLE WEDDING RING DOUBLE WEDDING RING All levels. Students learn to rotary cut and strip piece this old time favorite quilt. This is the fastest and easiest method for the Double Wedding Ring; just ask one of the thousands of students who have learned this technique. As seen on HGTV's "Simply Quilts". Template fee $15
TRAPUNTO & STIPPLING TRAPUNTO & STIPPLING All levels. Note, this is a hand quilting class! The project is a pre-basted top marked with different stippling and quilting patterns. Students learn trapunto, pattern stippling, cording and tips for successful hand quilting. Kit fee $12
BRAIDED FLAG BRAIDED BORDER All levels. Students learn how to customize this strip pieced border to fit their own project. The Braided Flag variation is an optional wall hanging done with the Braided Border concept.
ARABIC LATTICE ARABIC LATTICE All levels. This is an unusual yet easy block, which works up nicely in plaids, scraps or bright colors. John teaches a quick way to string piece partial seams. The block is rotary cut with a template and students have the options of the tessellated set or an "offset" set. As seen on HGTV's "Simply Quilts". Template fee $7
BIG BANG + 1 SECOND SPIRALS Intermediate. John Flynn designed this exciting block, which uses rotary cutting templates. It looks like a Snail's Trail until you look closely; it curls out from a hexagon! With lots of pieces, accurate cutting and sewing are a must. Template fee $10
QUILTING AT WINDMILLS TRIANGLE SPIRALS Intermediate. A variation of Spirals which curls out from a triangle. Graphic and dramatic!
EAGLE STAR EAGLE STAR All levels. This beautiful design has a very western influence. The design is a large pieced eagle surrounded by an eight-pointed star. Both these quilts were designed by Jerry Belgarde and are used with permission. The quilt on the right is her son Steve's quilt. Template fee $10
LOG CABIN IN THE WOODS LOG CABIN IN THE WOODS All levels. Three easy blocks, Pine Tree, Log Cabin and Bear's Paw combine to make a fun, charming and large project. Techniques used including strip piecing and rotary cutting with templates. Template fee $10
PICKLE DISH PICKLE DISH Intermediate. The triangle arcs of the Pickle Dish (Indian Wedding Ring) can be strip pieced. This speeds up the piecing, increases accuracy and decreases your stress! Another old variation which can be more more quickly using John's techniques. Template fee $20
CAMPAIGN 2000 WHEEL OF FORTUNE Intermediate. A Depression era pattern updated with strip piecing, circular rings of triangles, rotary cutting templates and applique. This is an unusual circular block which John pieces into a square and sets with sashes. Techniques include curved piecing, pair piecing of points and easy circular applique. Template fee $10

SUNSET WHEEL OF MYSTERY
WHEEL OF MYSTERYAll levels. Also called Winding Ways, this traditional block offers many design possibilities. With curved seams, it looks hard to piece but not with John's accurate rotary cutting templates and with his bag of tricks! Template fee $7
TEMPESTAD PERFECTA 42" x 50" STORM AT SEA Intermediate. Traditionally done in shades of blue, the old favorite block can take on a whole new spin when done in vibrant colors! All the cuts and seams are straight but the overall affect in one of curves. Maritime Magic!Template fee $11
MACHINE QUILTING MACHINE QUILTING ON THE FLYNN MULTI-FRAME All levels. If you are interested in learning how to use the Flynn Multi-Frame hands-on, from A to Z, a 6 hour class can be arranged in many situations. Students learn to mount a quilt on the Multi-Frame and spend most of class practicing quilting with John's help. NOTE: - John can only teach the class within 800 - 1000 miles of Billings, Montana because he needs to drive. Space at the class room is also an issue. Call first! Material fee $8
